ABOUT COURSE INSTRUCTOR
Aditya is currently a 4th Year Student at NLSIU, Bangalore. He ranked All India 18 in CLAT 2014 and is a recepient of Aditya Birla Scholarship. He has over 3 years of experience in preparing mock tests for leading training institutes. Aditya has also personally mentored several students in thier preparation for CLAT.
The course is different from those offered at most CLAT institutes, that merely teach case laws and make students cram laws to blindly reproduce answers in the exam, relying on the fact that questions are often repeated in exams.
In addition to thoroughly preparing you for the legal reasoning section of the CLAT, this course will teach you the fundamentals of law in 7 different critical areas of law, and incorporates feedback of multiple NLSIU faculty, on what they think every incoming law student should know when they join, and areas in which they tend to lack.
This course incorporates concepts that are normally taught in the first month of law school and has suitably modified them to present a method of attempting questions that – if done right – will help you score 50/50 in the legal reasoning section for CLAT.
The instructor has also looked at several important legal developments, such as the Aadhar judgment, Triple Talaq, the new GST Act, the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, the DU Photocopy case, and several others, all of which are extremely likely to be asked in the next CLAT exam. Also provided are simple, concise, and thorough write-ups on all these developments, so you need to look no further for information in this regard.
In addition to this, using the benefit of over 3 years of teaching legal reasoning for CLAT, the instructor has recommended areas to focus on from the perspective of CLAT. The videos are simply explained, using common, fun examples, like popular movies, TV shows, comic book characters, and other relatable examples from everyday life, without compromising on quality.
The reading material is just the right length – not too long, not too short. It’s simply written and explained as clearly as possible, without compromising on content.
The questions provided with this course – 200 are included in this material, plus another 200 in 4 mock tests – are deliberately designed to be challenging, and to test concepts and application skills, and not merely to make candidates answer questions from memory. These questions make small changes to otherwise familiar questions that are often seen in papers, to completely change their outcome, and are guaranteed to help strengthen one’s legal reasoning concepts and improve reading speed and vocabulary.
This course also contains two additional modules. The first bonus module is on CV building in law school and how to cope with academics and manage extra-curricular. It also has a guide to internships, paper publications, moot courts, debates, sports and other activities. The second bonus module contains a detailed guide on various career options available after law school, as well as tips on applying to higher educational institutes both in India and abroad, and priming one’s college career to be best suited for increasingly competitive employment opportunities.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to understand the basics in 7 different important areas of law, and this will undoubtedly make not only CLAT preparation much easier and more fun for you, but also help you hit the ground running when you join law school.
WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS COURSE?
Legal reasoning is the single most important section in the CLAT. Because it is the tie-breaker between identical scores, even a 0.25-mark difference in this section can affect your rank by up to thousands in a highly competitive exam such as CLAT.
This course highlights how much fun the law can be, once you leave aside the traditional “cram & vomit” methods that many CLAT institutes employ. And because it gives you the opportunity to test what you’ve learned in another, more practical environment, it will be beneficial to you, even if you are already attending another CLAT training course in other institutes.
Most importantly, apart from the wealth of material in this course, subscribers will also receive the contact details of the course provider – a successful CLAT candidate himself – who will be available at all times to personally guide candidates and help them in their preparation by suggesting study plans, strategies, and clearing doubts (in all subjects, including those other than legal reasoning).
The course consists of fundamental concepts that every incoming law student is expected to know before joining any law school. These will be explained through 10 hours of video content, a detailed, chapter-wise written material, and over 200 CLAT questions, created with the help, of course, outlines designed with inputs from multiple faculties of NLSIU, Bangalore.
